PVR Kashyap an Electronics and Communications Engineer by training from Bangalore University is a second -generation entrepreneur with interests in agriculture, automobile, foreign trade and infrastructure sectors. His automobile distribution firm is one of the largest distributors for two-wheelers of a leading automobile manufacturer in India – the Hero Group. He is also a mentor to many start-ups in India, especially in the areas of his expertise.

Moreover, Kashyap comes from a family of political lineage, where his grandfather, Late Shri. PV Narasimha Rao, served as the Prime Minister of India, his father, Shri. PV Rajeshwar Rao, served as a Member of Parliament of India He co-founded the PV Narasimha Rao Foundation based in Hyderabad and currently serves as its General Secretary. Under the guidance of the board of trustees, the foundation conducts philanthropic activities on issues such as healthcare, especially dealing with the fluorosis epidemic in Karim Nagar district; rural education, especially educating the girl child; and Climate change issues, especially training camps for school children on the effects of pollution. Kashyap is also closely involved with Isha Foundation, where he has been involved in promoting yoga and other social awareness activities which include rural education and environment protection.
