Energy Innovation Challenge - #InnovateToINSPIRE 2019 by EESL - A JV of PSUs under the Ministry of Power, Government of India and World Bank, Asian Development Bank, WRI India & USAID are the partner organization for this program along with the Country Partner - Israel.


The above challenge is currently inviting applications from academia (students and (or) faculties) to submit sustainable and scalable solutions (PoC/Prototype) in the thematic area of Grid Management, Energy Efficiency, Clean Energy, E-Mobility and Financial Instruments. (Please visit below web link for program detail). The winners of challenge will receive a fund amount of Rs. 25 Lakhs (Rs. 5 lakhs per theme) along with market access and business opportunities from EESL - Ministry of Power.

Students and faculties of IICs to take part in the challenge. On submission of POCs by students/faculties, respective IIC can be classified as one of the MIC driven activity and mention in the monthly report.

AICTE is collaborating with a nationwide contest IICDC 2019 - India Innovation Challenge Design Contest an initiative with Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Texas Instruments; anchored by NSRCEL, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) and supported by MyGov. The contest is open for all Indian engineering students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate &Doctoral degrees with Indian engineering colleges.

The India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC) has grown from strength to strength every year since its inception in 2016. IICDC 2018 edition has seen an exponential growth in the participation by 26511 students from 1760 colleges submitting 10146 ideas who dream of paving future of India with engineering solutions and path breaking innovative ideas. The contest has seen engineering students launch 30 start-ups & file over 175 patents.
