Dr. Shiva Chandra Vaddiraju is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Civil Engineering with over two decades of experience across teaching, research, and industry. He is currently serving as the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at MVSR Engineering College, having assumed charge on 28th May 2025. In addition to his departmental leadership, he also holds the key institutional roles of NBA Coordinator and IQAC Coordinator for the entire college, where he plays a pivotal role in quality assurance and accreditation processes.

Dr. Vaddiraju holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh, an M. Tech in Civil Engineering with specialization in Remote Sensing & GIS from NIT Warangal, and a B. Tech in Civil Engineering from Kakatiya University. His academic and research interests span Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, Urban Hydrology, Environmental Monitoring, and Water Resources, with a focus on integrating geospatial technologies and machine learning models.

He has published over 30 research papers in reputed SCIE/Scopus/UGC Care-indexed journals and has actively contributed to national and international conferences. Dr. Vaddiraju is also a reviewer for 18 international journals published by leading academic publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, and IGI Global. He currently serves as a Guest Editor for special issues in the journal Environmental Science and Pollution Research published by Springer.

Dr. Vaddiraju is known for his active involvement in IIRS-ISRO outreach programs, having successfully coordinated more than 20 training programs in addition to organizing several national-level workshops and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) in the institute. He is deeply committed to fostering academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional development.
